Women’s Economic Empowerment in District Sialkot

Direct Beneficiaries: 751 WHBWs (Women With Disabilities, Minority Women and Transgender Persons)

Project Operational Area:

  • Fifty (50) Locations in District Sialkot.

    • Project Inputs:

    • (1) Training on Entrepreneurship development, digital literacy, Marketable income generating skills, ( 2) Linkages development with market/manufacturing units/business entities, MFIs/Banks, WCCIS (3) Issuance of CNICs/disability certificates (4) Community mobilization for provision of harassment/violence free environment to women.

      • Outcome Results:

      • 626 women got jobs in harassment/exploitation free industrial units.
      • 125 women set up and began running their micro and small-scale businesses effectively.
      • A batch of 60 male champions became available to make continuous efforts to EVAWG through use of social and legal means.
